Agriculture and Fisheries Federation of Taiwan
台灣農漁業聯盟(Agriculture and Fisheries Federation of Taiwan, 簡稱AFT) 為依法設立之政黨組織，成立於103年9月14日，內政部:政黨證字第260號,以推動台灣農漁業永續健康發展為宗旨，期能為台灣農漁民爭取權益，提升農漁業科技、飲食安全、農村建設，並實現兼顧生態保育、經濟發展及社會公平之願景。
Agriculture and Fisheries Federation of Taiwan (also known as AFT) is a legitimate political party (Reg. No: 260) established on September 14, 2014 with an aim to promote sustainable and healthy development of agriculture and fisheries in Taiwan. The federation embraces a vision to protect the rights and interests of farmers and fishermen, enhance the technology of agriculture and fisheries, ensure food security, and improve rural development. It expects to achieve a balanced development in ecological conservation, economic development and social justice.
農漁業是一個國家經濟發展、國人生活及生態保育的根基，也是最貼近民眾的日常產業。美麗寶島台灣，四面環海，擁有豐富農漁業資源與自然生態，有如人間天堂。然而，近來國內爆發嚴重食安問題，在商人快速求利的驅駛下，不僅讓國人吃得不安心，自然生態資源也日益遭消耗破壞，令人憂心。再者，自加入WTO後，台灣的農漁業面臨大幅開放進口壓力，過去的利基，卻成為陷入困境的主要原因。雖然各種名目的農漁民團體在台灣不斷推陳出新，也因功能不彰或重疊、專業不足、市場行銷能力薄弱，而無法充分發揮綜效。因此，如何整合資源共同發展高經濟的農漁業生技、食品加工、觀光休閒、文化創意等產業加值，提升整體競爭力，本聯盟認為有其必要性與迫切性。
Agriculture and fisheries are not only the foundation of a nation’s economic development, livelihood and ecological conservation but also create an industry closest to people’s daily life. Taiwan, a beautiful island known as “Formosa” with abundant agricultural and fishery resources and rich natural ecosystems, is always seen as a paradise. Such reputation, however, has been harmed by the increasing over-utilization of natural resources and particularly the recent outbreak of severe domestic food safety problems resulting from some greedy businessmen’s immorality for fast profit-maximization. On top of that, since the entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO), agriculture and fisheries in Taiwan have been faced with the increasing pressure to open the market. Past niches have even become the main reason for the bottleneck. Because of dysfunctional or overlapping operations and weak professional management and marketing capabilities, many local groups of farmers and fishermen fail to integrate resources for the effective creation of synergy. Such issues have caused many people to be anxious about their life in Taiwan, which the Federation sees as urgent and critical.
曾在農業界服務逾46年並連續12年榮獲績優農會總幹事的卓越女性領導人－王雪慧女士（前板穚市農會總幹事），有感於此，特別召集一群熱愛台灣的夥伴，一起成立台灣農漁業聯盟，共同努力整合農漁業資源，為我們自己和後代子孫營造一個安全健康的生活與生命，並重尋一個屬於台灣人的生活、飲食環境安全。
Given this understanding, Ms. Yuki Wang, a remarkable female leader serving Taiwan’s agricultural administration & development for more than 46 years and well known for her outstanding performance as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pan-Chiao Farmers’ Association in New Taipei City for three executive terms with a period of twelve (12) years, took the initiative to establish this Federation with full support from alliance partners who love Taiwan and share similar vision and values. The Federation’s target is to make joint efforts for the integration of agricultural and fisheries resources to create a safe and healthy life for the people in Taiwan.
台灣農漁業聯盟就像一條線，期能把台灣農漁業者串連在一起，共同突破目前困境，注入新活力與新生命，發揮群策群力的共創價值力量，為開創台灣農漁業的新時代而努力。 本聯盟兼顧理念認同與價值創造的雙重目標，除策略性地選選合作方式外，也考量如何讓彼此願意加入此項合作關係，並有效整合與利用彼此資源，結合科技、產業文化及地方特有技藝，有效加值與品牌行銷，營造彼此之價值創造條件，發揮營運綜效，以造福台灣農漁民之生計及相關產業的生存。此外，台灣的農漁業不應只是「自滿於在地」，不但要有「在地精神」，更需要有「國際視野」，要有將台灣優質的農漁業特產在「全球遍地開花」的企圖心，並開拓異業聯盟，營造多贏局勢。最重要地，推動聯盟策略，如能落實品質把關，主動出擊，建立跨業跨境新軸心，有效發揮經濟效益，將可降低產銷成本，有效行銷品牌，進一步拓展海內外新市場。
The Federation is seen as a thread used to link partners for the breakthrough of current difficulties and the value-added development of economic synergy. Together with local unique cultures and specialties, it can help partners to develop businesses for effective brand-building. It can also serve as a watchdog for the quality control of products and services provided by alliance partners. The federation can employ such joint endeavor to effectively create win-win conditions for the development of the domestic and global market.
未來本聯盟也將努力督促政府制定符合國家整體永續發展的相關法令與政策，以積極保留、保護及合理使用現有農地與自然生態環境，提升農漁民合理收入，拒絶種植機改作物，結合社區營造推動都市永續農業，勵行節能減碳與多吃永續食物的習慣，推廣永續農業與永續環境之教育，共同創造一個關懷和諧的永續健康社會，讓國人吃的更安全、活得更安心。
Furthermore, the Federation will strive to urge government authorities to formulate relevant laws and policies for the nation’s overall sustainable development not only for the protection and proper utilization of farmlands and natural ecosystems but also for the enhancement of farmers and fishermen’s livelihood. Efforts will also be made to reject unhealthy and unsafe food production in agriculture and fisheries, promote sustainable agriculture in communities, and strengthen education to create a sustainable environment in a harmonious and loving society.
農漁業的真善美，體現於生產的真、生活的善、生態的美，隨著四季迭替而有不同層面的體驗與收穫。整合農漁業資源，推動聯盟策略，協助農漁業產銷，增加農漁民直接收益，並台灣農漁業盡一份心力，是本聯盟關心的課題。未來本聯盟也期能體現態度的真、服務的善、滿意的美，提供每一個聯盟會員及相關利害關係人真誠的加值與感動。
The best in agriculture and fisheries is reflected in the truth of production, the goodness of life, and the beauty of natural ecosystems. In the four seasons of a year, we can have different experiences stemming from different harvests. Promoting alliance strategy to integrate resources in agriculture and fisheries is the subject of concern for this Federation. We expect ourselves to make significant contributions to the development of production and marketing in agriculture and fisheries while ensuring food security, natural conservation and social justice in Taiwan. In the future, the Federation expects to provide our partners and relevant stakeholders with satisfactory services by reflecting such truth, goodness and beauty in our sincere and responsible attitude.
在此瞬息萬變的時代，唯有具有願景與熱情的創新團隊，才能在競爭洪流中脫穎而出。本聯盟主席王雪慧女士，以過去在農會服務數十年經驗，承擔舵手重責大任，期能將每一個像珍珠般的農漁業資源串連起來，有如一串發光發亮的項鍊瑰寶，發揮實際效益價值，並將以永不止息的工作熱誠及堅持做對的事的衝勁，與大家一起共同落實「共創、共好、共贏」原則，實踐「真、善、美」境界，一起為實現「綠色農漁業、資源整合、永續經營、多嬴共好」的恢宏願景，以一步一腳印穩健實在做法，齊步向前、突破萬難，共同為創造永續生命價值而努力。

In this rapidly changing era, only with a vision and passion for innovation can a team stand out from the fierce competition torrent. Building on her rich experiences in the agricultural sector over the last decades, Ms. Wang, Chair of the Federation, will bear the heavy responsibility for this vision and mission for the healthy and sustainable development of agriculture and fisheries in Taiwan. She will treasure every resource as pearls and try her best to link them up to make a shiny necklace for the innovative creation of practical values. She will lead the team and the Federation to keep on doing the right things with endless passion and devoted commitment. Under her leadership, the Federation will gather partners to work together to create common good in the win-win realm of “truth, goodness and beauty.” In the long run, the Federation will join steady efforts to make the best use of resources for the achievement of a sustainable development in agriculture and fisheries.
Let’s work together to break through all the difficulties and keep walking ahead to create sustainable values for our life and society.
